Choosing a location for your reception :: you invite Aunt Edna? Are the kids invited? Any 'big drinkers' on the guest list? Indoor? Outdoor? Special dietary needs for 'picky eaters'?
When choosing a reception venue, you need to consider a variety of issues to ensure that the venue is the right place for your day. The location is important. You do not want you or your guests to have to drive for a long period of time after the service to get to the reception venue. Consider this:
How many people will be attending the wedding? It is often the case that fewer people are invited to attend the wedding ceremony than are invited to the reception that follows. If so, you may want to consider a smaller, more intimate venue for your wedding while allowing for a larger guest list at the reception.
